Something that people think I fall short in is experience, but I can promise you I have plenty of experience. Here is a quick list of my experience as a leader and how it would help me lead you as your governor.
NHS VP: I am currently the NHS Vice president at my school this has given me the opportunity to lead a large group of students and plan events both big and small.
M.A.C.L.A: MACLA is a nonprofit that two of my friends and I started to create change in Los Angeles. Starting this nonprofit from the ground up was one of the most difficult and interesting things I've ever done in my life. MACLA allowed me to make connections with politicians and humanitarians. These people will come in handy when we are looking for connections for internships and mentorships or even when working on taking action in our communities.
OAC Fundraising Coordinator: At my school, we have a hiking club called Outdoor Adventure Club. I was both the event coordinator and fundraising coordinator. My job was to make sure that everyone knew about the events and that we had enough money to pay for different stuff mainly gas.
Cheer Captain: Any captain for any sports team can tell you this they key to having a strong team is accountability and friendship sounds cheesy I know but its true. All of my team will tell you if there's one thing I always force them to do its team bonding. Through the use of dad jokes, puns, and games of tag I have created more than just a team I created a family.
I have more experience than this, but these four are what matter the most. The skills I have gained from these positions will help me not only LEAD JSA but IMPROVE JSA.
