The impact is what makes my platform unique. The big idea is that we get as many JSAers on the news as possible. This would increase the number of students that know about JSA and it creates this desire to join. New members aren't the only people that the impact would attract, it would also attract new donors; more politicians for internships; and more humanitarians for projects that could lead to us getting our faces on the news again.
The way this would work is by revamping the way that Fight Apathy and Thought Talks work.
Fight Apathy will now have an online form that allows you to post about something that you feel strongly about and what you think we could do to a change. I'd like to implement this into the MYTALK software.
We would then use the information that we got from the new online version of Fight Apathy to create new prompts for thought talks.
This would change the way that Thought Talks. Thought Talks would now work a bit more like a solution session that leads to action. The Thought Talk would start with everyone sharing their thoughts on the solution that was created prior. Then the participants would either choose to slightly change the solution that was given or create a new solution. Once the participants come to a consensus on how they would like to solve the issue they'd choose someone to take the lead. This volunteer would then go to an impact representative and would receive resources and a team. Eventually, they would receive help from alumni and mentors, as they continue to build momentum The Impact would connect them with the press.
This creates change in our communities and shows people what JSA is all about.

Every project is a unique experience, full of lessons and memories.”
